Therapy for Residents of Stanford
Therapy for Adults Near Stanford, CA
The Stanford community draws some of the most capable and driven people in the world — and with that comes a particular kind of pressure that is rarely acknowledged openly. Whether you are a faculty member, a researcher, a clinician, an administrator, or a partner navigating life in this environment, the expectations — internal and external — can be relentless. The pursuit of excellence that defines this community is also, for many people, a source of chronic anxiety and exhaustion.
High achievers often come to therapy having spent years analyzing their situation with great sophistication and very little relief. Understanding a problem intellectually and being able to change it emotionally are different skills — and the gap between them is exactly where good therapy works. My approach is evidence-based and neuroscience-informed, which tends to resonate with people who want to understand the mechanisms behind the tools they're being asked to use.
I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practice, and selected DBT skills, integrated into a practical and genuinely individualized approach. I bring over fifteen years of clinical depth, including years at one of the country's most respected psychiatric programs.
My practice is in Menlo Park, just minutes from the Stanford campus. I offer both in-person sessions at my Menlo Park office, and telehealth sessions for clients who prefer the flexibility of meeting from home or while traveling.
If you have been considering therapy and keep finding reasons to delay, a free 15-minute consultation requires very little — and may be more useful than you expect.
