Therapy for Residents of Palo Alto

Therapist Near Palo Alto, CA

Palo Alto is one of the most intellectually and professionally demanding communities in the world. The concentration of innovation, ambition, and achievement per square mile is extraordinary — and so is the pressure that comes with it. For many adults living and working here, anxiety is not an occasional visitor. It is a chronic background condition, normalized by an environment where intensity is the baseline and slowing down feels like falling behind.

Depression, too, shows up differently in high-achieving communities. It often looks like burnout, cynicism, or a loss of motivation that doesn't make sense given how much has been accomplished. It can be hard to name and harder to reach out about, precisely because the cultural expectation is that capable people push through.

I work with adults who are ready to do something more than push through. My approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practice, and neuroscience-informed techniques — practical, evidence-based tools that appeal to people who want to understand why something works, not just be told that it does. I bring over fifteen years of clinical experience, including years at one of the country's leading mental health programs.

My practice is located in Menlo Park, minutes from downtown Palo Alto. I offer in-person sessions at my Menlo Park office, and telehealth sessions for clients who prefer the flexibility of meeting from home or while traveling.

A free 15-minute consultation is a straightforward way to explore whether we're a good fit.
